鍵盤奏者(チェンバロ、オルガン、ピアノ)及び指揮者としてバッハ･コレギウム･ジャパンや横浜シンフォニエッタはじめ国内外の公演に多数出演。その演奏は｢火花が散るほど熱くて説得力のある演奏｣(独フォノ･フォラム誌)と評され、チェンバロソロ CD｢rentontre｣は各紙で絶賛される。新国立劇場《ポッペアの戴冠》、東京･春･音楽祭でのワーグナー作品の演出、ハクジュホールでのラモー作品の演出･指揮、調布音楽祭総合プロデューサー、九大フィル初代ミュージック･アドバイザーを務めるなど、公的フェスティヴァルや機関から信頼され、各方面から大きな期待が寄せられている。音楽監督を務めるアンサンブル･ジェネシスでは、オリジナル楽器でバロックから現代音楽まで意欲的なプログラムを展開し、NHK制作の『アンサンブル･ジェネシス～光と影～』が好評を博す。またJ.S. バッハ BWV 190喪失楽章の復元や(Carus)、モーツァルト『レクイエム』の補筆･校訂が高い評価を得る。2015年2月まで首席指揮者を務めた横浜シンフォニエッタとは定期演奏会、サントリーホールのオープンハウス、ラ･フォル･ジュルネ･オ･ジャポン等で定期的に共演を重ねている。
オランダ生まれ。東京藝術大学作曲科及び同大学院古楽科、ハーグ王立音楽院オルガン科及び即興演奏科修了。
