ケーナ／サンポーニャ

青森県出身。10代から横笛、ケーナ、尺八など笛の吹奏と製作を始める。弘前大学在学中にケーナ愛好会を設立後、フォルクローレ楽団「ハイシャス・インカス」を結成し演奏活動を始める。
1996年より仙台にて稲垣達也（ピアノ＆作曲）、櫻井不二麿（ウッドベース）と異色のアコースティックトリオ「デルタ（DELTA）」を結成、2000年5月にCD「Notes of Trees～樹の音」を発表。

2000年10月から1年間、南米ボリビアに居住。地域固有の伝統音楽と商業音楽との在り方、グローバル化と伝統音楽の変容について問題意識を抱きながら各地の祭りや伝統音楽を訪ね歩き、シクーリ（サンポーニャ）、タルカ、プシピア（モコルル）、モセーニョなどの演奏を学ぶ。またケーナ奏者としてライブやレコーディングに参加。クラルケン・オロスコ（チャランゴ／グルーポ・アイマラ、ワラ）、アルフレッド・コカ（チャランゴ）、ドナート・エスピノーサ（チャランゴ／サビア・アンディーナ）、ラファエル・アリアス（ギター／サビア・アンディーナ）、ファン・カルロス・コルデーロ（ギター／ルミリャフタ他）ら、数多くの著名演奏家たちと共演。

帰国後はケーナ奏者としての演奏活動に加え、南米音楽講座や、チチカカ湖周辺の伝統的な笛の合奏を楽しむ「サンポーニャ楽団アルティプラーノ仙台」を結成しアンデスのお祭り音楽を紹介するなどの活動を行う。一方で日本の伝統音楽にも関心を深め、特に東北の古典尺八曲を後世に伝えるための活動を模索。2009年から尺八家の郡川直樹（2014年11月没）のもとで「サムライの時代の音楽～禅的尺八コンサート」を立ち上げ、毎年開催している。

現在はデルタでの活動を中心に、福田大治（チャランゴ、ギター）、犬伏青畝（ギター）、岡田浩安（サンポーニャ）らとのライブ活動も展開。またパラグアイ出身で仙台在住のアルパ奏者ホセ・ルイス・バルボーサと岩崎わかなのユニット“Sol de Misiones”とも度々共演している。

2015年7月、CD「コユール ―星の旋律」をリリース。
NHK文化センター仙台「ケーナ＆サンポーニャ教室」を開講中。
