AOYAGI Susumuピアノ

中南米のニカラグア共和国で生まれ、米国で5歳よりピアノを始める。同年、自作2曲を含むプログラムで初めてのソロ･リサイタルを開催。9歳の時にフォートワース交響楽団と協演、コンチェルト･デビューを果たす。日本に帰国後、小学校6年生の時に全日本学生音楽コンクール全国大会で第１位受賞。桐朋学園大学在学中に西日本新人演奏会で西日本音楽賞を受賞。19歳の時にベルリン芸術大学に留学。ロン=ティボー国際コンクールに入賞後、パリ日本大使館、ラジオ･フランス、旧西･東ドイツ各地からアメリカに至るまで各地で演奏する。
1997年ポリーノ国際ピアノ･コンクール、1998年ハエン国際ピアノ･コンクール、アルフレード=カゼッラ国際ピアノ･コンクールで第1位受賞。東京･浜離宮朝日ホールでのヴァン･クライバーン協会主催のコンサート、サントリーホールでのリサイタルなど1997年より日本でも演奏活動を開始。2000年には青山音楽賞を受賞。横浜招待国際ピアノ演奏会に出演。新日鉄コンサート「プロミシング･アーティスト･シリーズ」に出演。2002年第28回日本ショパン協会賞受賞。
2001年ロンドンで収録された「リスト：ピアノ作品集」がリリースされ、レコード芸術誌、朝日新聞などで高評価を受ける。以降7枚のCDをリリース。最新アルバムは、2012年11月リリースの「フォーレ：ノクターン選集」。2012年3月にはカーネギー･ホールにてデビュー･リサイタルを開催し、現地メディアより大絶賛を博す。
東京都交響楽団、新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団、東京交響楽団、日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団、東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団、大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団、大阪交響楽団、関西フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、九州交響楽団など全国の主要オーケストラと協演。
これまでに宇賀田克子、藤村佑子、山田富士子、山田康子、ジョー･ボートライト、リリー･クラウス、クラウス･ヘルヴィヒ、パスカル･ドゥヴァイヨンに師事。
現在、東京藝術大学准教授。
